Because the walls are built on site rather than delivered as a moulded shell, a vinyl pool can be made to fit your yard instead of the other way round — which matters a great deal on the sloped and awkward lots that are common across Southwest Ohio.

Start with how you will use it. Rectangles and lap shapes suit swimming and fit cleanly against a straight deck or house line. Freeform and lagoon shapes suit lounging and landscape-led backyards. Roman and Grecian ends are a middle ground — a formal look without a hard rectangle.
Let the yard have a say. Setbacks, grade, septic, and where your utilities run will quietly rule some shapes out before aesthetics ever come into it. That is the first thing we check on a site visit.
Think about the deck, not just the pool. The shape determines how much usable deck you get around it. A shape that looks generous on paper can leave awkward pinch points once furniture is in.
